Eagle Energy Caffeine Vape
- 4 minutes read - 792 wordsEagle Energy claims to be an all-natural, instant energy vape pen. As caffeine enthusiasts at Firestarter Labs, we had to explore more to see if we could get our energy fix in a new way.
Packaging
The Eagle Energy vape pens come in either a 3 or 5-pack and in a Lychee Ice or Guarana Berry Flavor. We opted for the 3-pack of the Guarana Berry. The vape pens come in a high-quality magnetic flap box.
Each pen comes in an individual plastic tube capped with a rubber stopper.
The feel of the pen matches the disposable Blu brand vapes.
Vape Experience
The vape is fairly smooth with a slightly fruity flavor. Vaping and breathing out immediately expels a cool white cloud of vape smoke. Holding your breath for several seconds before breathing out results in no vape cloud. No immediate boost in energy is felt.
Instant Energy
At Firestarter Labs, we enjoy our caffeine and have a bit of a tolerance towards it. We typically will drink Rockstar Pure Zero 240 mg energy drinks to get ourselves going. A typical cup of coffee will not give us a big boost, but we will feel good from it.
Unfortunately, none of us at Firestarter Labs felt any energy boost from the Eagle Energy Caffeine Vape. We tried taking the 25 3-second inhalations, felt nothing. One member vaped continuously for several hours and still felt nothing. That led us to explore the validity of “instant energy”.

For some perspective in the caffeine world, we compared the Eagle Energy experience to other methods for your caffeine fix.
Eagle Energy
To come up with the time to consume a single serving of Eagle Energy, we did a little math. From our testing, we found that 15 seconds from start to finish for a single inhalation was realistic. If you want to continuously inhale the entire serving (25 inhalations), you will be sitting there for about 6 minutes and 15 seconds. This all for the standard serving. Eagle Energy claims this is instant, so let’s say it takes about 1 minute to get the effect.
Cup of Coffee
Standard cup of coffee, no frills. One can easily drink one in 10 minutes or less.
AeroShot
Firestarter Labs was into caffeine when the late AeroShot Caffeine Inhaler entered the market. We’ve seen claims that Eagle Energy and AeroShot are equivalent, this is not true. AeroShot was a canister filled with a sweetened caffeine powder that would coat your mouth when you would breathe it in. AeroShots contained 100 mg of caffeine that could be consumed with 3-6 inhales. Let’s say it takes the same time to feel this effect as drinking coffee would.
5-Hour ENERGY
5-Hour ENERGY is a popular liquid shot that let’s you get your caffeine fix “fast and easy”. Standard 5-Hour Energy contains around 215 mg of caffeine and can be consumed in one go.

What is Really Inside Eagle Energy
Internals
Eagle Energy claims to have specifically designed internal components for the delivery of caffeine. After disassembling one of our vapes, the internals looks strikingly similar to other disposable vapes.
And for Eagle Energy
Vape Juice
Vape Juice consists of 90% propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin. That leaves 10% for any flavoring and additives like nicotine or caffeine. For simplicity let’s assume caffeine can be added at the same level that nicotine can.
On the very high end you will find e-cigs with up to 5.4% NBV (nicotine by volume) which ends up being 54 mg of nicotine for a standard disposable e-cig/vape. Translating this to Eagle Energy, 54 mg of caffeine over 400 puffs doesn’t seem to be much. This equates to about 3.375 mg of caffeine per serving (25 inhales).
Granted, it is possible inhaling caffeine may be absorbed at a greater rate, but how much greater? 2 times, 10 times, 30 times?

Ultimately Eagle Energy doesn’t have enough caffeine to do anything for us. We can speculate that there are those out there that are sensitive to caffeine, and would feel some effect inhaling such a small amount of caffeine. But are people who don’t enjoy caffeine going to seek out and purchase a caffeine vape?
